I Peter 1:6 "In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials."

Here is my grandson Cuinn (pronounced Quinn) in my arms. It was wonderful to see Sam and his family as they stopped by on their way to a music concert. Cuinn will turn one on July 1st. He and Cianan are both happy boys, full of energy.

Dear Family and Friends,

I'm so grateful that God uses each difficulty (like my myeloma and the situation you are facing) as an opportunity for us to see Him work. In His time, He will bring us out to a place of great abundance. Through each problem, He plans to bless us and make us more like His Son. Through each struggle, He exposes our weaknesses and needs, our self-centeredness, our self-reliance and pride.

He uses our trials to humble us and perfect our faith. What an honor that His love and care over us is so all encompassing. He will never leave us or forsake us. He looks beyond our superficial desire for a trouble-free life and fulfills our deep-down desire to glorify His name and enjoy His warm fellowship.

Physical Update:

1) My left eye is about the same.

2) The neuropathy in my feet is about the same but I'm hoping it will dissipate over the next year.

3) My appetite and energy are both good.

4) My hair is growing slowly and coming in curly.

Please pray that God will:

a) Continue to teach me to trust Him fully.

b) Bring any healing to my body that will glorify Him.

c) Allow me to share with others what He has done through my friend myeloma.

d) Keep me in perfect peace by His wonderful Holy Spirit.

Your prayers are highly prized by me. I'm asking God to bless you as you lift me up to Him.

Lifted up on His wings,

Jane

    Hi Jane,

How wonderful that you were able to spend some time with Sam and his family! There is just nothing like hugging your kids, and holding your grandchildren to remind you of how filling God's love is. I am praising the Lord that everyone was well enough (at the same time) to allow this.

Curly hair huh? That opens a whole new range of hairstyle possibilities - without the cost of a perm too. I'm looking forward to seeing your new 'do when it grows in.

You are in my prayers for continued strength and healing, improved vision, relief from the neuropathy in your feet, and that God will continue to be glorified in your thoughts, and by your actions. You continue to be an inspiration to me as you learn and grow through this experience.

    Love you - Linda
